I see ones for sale at $150 but are they worth buying for my mother ? I don’t want one that is due to fail or be hard to understand. Getting ready for Christmas.

From RICH’s answer, I can gather than the degree of precision is enhanced by having a greater number of channels.

But in theory, only 3 GPS satellites and a maximum of 4 can be overhead at a point at a specific time.

If that’s the case, having to spend around a $$$ more on a unit with 24 channels seems pointless :S

The phone looks like a good one, and the GPS would be handy now and then, but I really don’t want to pay a monthly fee for the Navigator service. Thanks!
